Seen a sale bill awhile ago that claimed to have a Super HTA. Thought I read in one of Mr. Fay's books that IH only made a few prototypes of these. Is is possible that one escaped captivity? The tractor looked legit, but it was a pretty small picture. Has anyone ever heard of bolting the front end of a stage II SH on the back of a 300?

Actually, Guy Fay wrote a real nice article in Red Power Mag. about a year ago on the Super H-TA. The prototypes were H's, and the design was totally different than what first appeared on the Super M-TA in 1954. Only two tractors built according to IH Engineering records and both were torn apart when the project ended. Project started in the late 40's, '49 I believe and lasted thru late '51 or spring '52. Guy even had pic's of some of the parts and one of the tractors in the article. NO Super H-TA was ever built. They have all been H/SH engine & sheetmental on a 300/350 rearend. Wouldn't be a bad little tractor to have but shouldn't EVER be confused with anything that IH ever produced. And people get bent ALL outta shape because I painted the grill on My Stage II Super H white so it matched Dad's '51 M and His 450, or put Super H decals on a '39 H.

From your responces, there must still be new commers to the old tractor hobby. As rusty said only two sources of an HTA, that being a 300 or 350 with H or SH sheet metal.

You question about the prototypes, not possible, they didn't even resemble either.

Robert Kinzebaugh in Willamsburg, Ia. has one.
[owner of KINZE mfg.]
He has a VERY large antique tractor collection.
I had never heard of one till I saw a pic. of his.
Don't know if it is a "hybrid" or not.

Basically it is a Farmall 300 or 350 with H sheet metal.

Yes, have seen a few at tractor shows.
They should bage them as "300-H".

No factory HTA's. Several hybrids between Super H and 300/350.
