Just got back from going on a 4 day tractor run. We started at Joliet and went to Morris, Ottawa, Peru and down to Streator. It was 140 miles long. There was 60% IH's there. Max Armstrong was in the front with his M and H. 25 % John Deere and 9 Cases and etc. My (1950) M ran just like a new one all the way. Seen 2 John Deere and 1 IH with back flats. 1 tractor with bad motor and thats about it. Drivers from Texas and up by Canada. Lots of fun. Next year will be in June again. Good to be back. Sounds like all kinds of fun. I think I would consider doing something like that if I put a seat with a backrest on it. I wonder if anyone in Iowa is doing a tractor road trip.

Not sure what part you're from Bob, but over in the eastern part near Dyersville, there were 2 different ones this past month. One was a two-day long ride. The other started out at the same point both days and just took different routes. There is almost always one the weekend of the big toy show, usually in June I think.

chas k,

I live near Sac City, Iowa. The tractor rides sound like fun and I will look into it more. Along with a seat with back support, I think I better look at new tires before I go for an extended trip on the tractor!

Thanks, Bob
