I just got my Super C home. It has a pretty good dent in the gas tank. I know the brackets are different, but will a regular C or A or B tank fit right on the brackets. I can get a good C tank for picking it up.

You can use the C tank on the Super C if you use the mounting bracket off the bottom of the Super C tank. Be very careful when welding on a fuel tank though!! Flush it with water and leave it as full of water as possible to keep the fuel vapors to a minimum when you are welding on it.

The parts manuals show different parts #'s for the Super C and the 200/230/240. That doesn't mean that with a little farmerizing that it won't work. Depends if you want it functional or original.

No, you need a tank from a Super C to have a direct, bolt up swap. The mounting brackets underneath are different on A's & B's and different yet again on C's.
I don't know whether a 200 tank is like a Super C's tank or not. Seems like it would have to be close though.

You should be OK with a SuperC/200/SuperA1/100/130 or 140 tank. The 230 tank would work if you could get the optional extension brackets (good luck) or make them yourself.

The A/B tanks have the fuel outlet in the wrong place, the Super A and C tanks would work if you want to do custom brackets front and back to make up for the 1 1/4" difference in height. I just bought a tank from a Super A to put on a 140. It was obviously a later replacement tank (identical to the one on my 230) so I just had to make up the rear extension brackets.
