i have been having problems with its conditon when running.I used a small gas tank during the restoration when moving it around. Now since its all complete i used the orgianal gas tank an its running rough. I made a larger fuelline with a inline fuel filter an it ran good the firstfew nights na now it starts up and bogs down when i push the fuel lever forward.. anyone have a clue whats going on

I had the same problem on a Briggs cast iron. Mine had a glass filter bowl and I noticed the gas had gotten cloudy ,so I had to spend some more time cleaning the tank.

The in-line fuel filter is fine, but it wust be a gravity fed filter. This may be your problem. Is the inside of your fuel tank clean? Any rust flakes entering the fuel bowl? Also pull the main metering jet (large brass hex head) on the side of the carb. Make sure the passages are clear. Use fishing line or compressed air. No metal as the size of the openings are critical. Also check the small filter at the carb elbow to see if that screen is plugged.
