Just got a international tractor 300 utility. It's had a rough way to go. ( a barn fire ) I want to restore it, but I can not find wiring info etc. Any helpfull ideas or info would be welcome. This is my first tractor. Worked on lots of cars.....
Thanks,

A lot depends on if you want an "original" restoration or not. If you want it just like it came from the factory, get a GOOD manual or buy a wiring harness. If you're after a functional tractor, it's easy to do it yourself. Install a 1 wire 12 volt alternator, run the wire from the alternator to the amp meter, then to the battery terminal on the starter. Run another wire from that post to the ignition switch then to the distributer. Wire in a momemtary contact switch to the start terminal on the starter and you have a MINIMALLY functional system

An operators manual and a parts manual from your Case-IH dealer or Binder Books will have all the wiring diagrams you need. Wiring harnesses are available from several sources including Case-IH.
