I have a chance to buy a mower deck and brackets from a cub lowboy 154 or 184-not sure, but red and white. Is it possible to mount this on a farmall cub or "A"? If so, where would I get the mounting brackets? Thanks for your input.

It's possible to mount the deck on a Cub or A, but not with any commercially-available mounting brackets, that's for sure. A welder, some scrap steel, and a little ingenuity should get the mower mounted. Driving it may be another completely different issue. The A has a standard 540 RPM PTO, but the Cub's runs at engine speed, in the opposite direction. Dunno how the late LoBoys' PTO worked.

The last Loboys were more like giant Cub Cadets than Farmall Cubs.

The 154 / 185 / 184 numbered lo-boys use a frame mount mower. You'd be better off finding a mower with brackets for your regular cub or your A. Even those 2 are greatly different.
