I have a 1947 "B" Farmall, I want to use it to mow my 10 acres of horse pasture. What size and type of mower should I use on it.
Also, the PTO needs some work, I have pulled it out and need to replace large half moon key on end of shaft. I don't have a local IH dealer and the auto part places don't have key to match, where can I find one.

Good luck finding that key. I had two made when I re-built my BN. Cost me $40. I'll sell you one for $20.

You might try your local hardware store for that key. Our Ace store here has a pretty good selection

You might try Carter & Gruenwald for the half moon key, I have never done business with them but seems like some others here have, and were satisfied. They have a website, do a Google search for Carter & Gruenwald.

Guys - Unless I'm missing something here, a half moon key is a standard woodruf key available at most hardware stores. Also - - check out McMaster Carr on line. Huge catalog of almost anything you'd want. Not the best prices in the industry, but they'll more than likely have it.

If it were available I would not have had to have them made. If you have access to parts tractors maybe you can find a good one. Hopefully he'll
have better luck than I.
