Did farmall ever make a tractor with a horsepower rating of 110 to 130. What tractor could this be?? I have heard of International 1086 but do not know of a Farmall that big. Can anyone shed some light on this subject.

This questions is based on a friend who is looking at a older farm for sale approx 100 ac and a Farmall approx 120 hp & some equipment comes with the purchase. Thanks in advance!! Charlie

Even though it does not say "Farmall" on the hood of a 1086, a 1086 is technically a Farmall, since it is a Row-Crop tractor. If you look at the model number tag, it will say "F-1086".

Charlie: Unless there is a 20' bushog, be quite expensive bushogging and fun.

These still had Farmall on the name plate or decal on the sides of the tractor. Also there was a different version of these models made with the International name, different front axle and wheelbase, and different fenders.

Thanks for the reply, I was told it had Farmall Badges on the side of the hood, wide front end with canopy, 6 cyl turbo dsl. approx 120 HP with a huge bush hog. I am trying to figure out what size it could be. I wasn't sure if Farmall made tractors that big, I figured the bigger tractors were International. I guess its a 9XX series or a 10XX series, I am guessing that they are in that Horsepower range. I am just hoping he going to let me play with his new toy!!!!! Charlie

Truth is, Farmall the name was taken off of IH products in 1976. I'm not sure how long the F- designation stayed on the serial plates though. So, lets say it is a Farmall tractor with 120 HP. That could a Farmall 1206 with 112 turbo horses, or a International Farmall 966 with 108.8 horsepower (depending on year). It could also very well be an International Farmall 1066 with 116 PTO horse power. Anyways, the Farmall name only lasted as the main title plate until the 56 series (row crop). Standard or wheatland tractors had International on them. Since then, it was down graded until it was above the model number, and then below. then it was dropped all together when the 86 series Pro-Ag tractors were announced.

Many Farmall models within that HP range, 1206, 1256, 1456, 1066, 1466, 1566, 1086, 1486, even the 1468, & 1568. Farmall and International are actually the same thing, ALL the large row-crop & standard or Wheatland tractors were built at The FARMALL Plant of International Harvester.

Charlie,

It was probably a 1066 or 1086 or maybe even one of the old 12s.

People call 'em Farmalls even tho they weren't technically "Farmalls".
