I am restoring my BN, and am close to painting it.....I got 2150, but see now that there is an earlier 50 color. I am not a total purist, but I might reconsider if it's way off from original. What do you guys think?

Take Care
Steve

IH 2150 is fine and is "close" to the original IH 50 color. I have not seen 2150 and 50 side by side so I'm not sure of the difference. IH 50 is not available premixed -- the PPG code to have it mixed is 70019, DuPont 7410, Sherwin Williams 224. 2150 codes are PPG 71310, DuPont 96766 or 6951 AL, don't know the code for other manufacturers. Your BN came from the factory with IH 50.

IH red 2150 is correct red for all IH built, new gloss red is for all Case-IH built, exact same shade of red, they changed numbers because of switching vendors of paint. 2150 is just not glossy as new red.
