Are the latches for these seats always hard? I have to hit mine pretty hard to get it to latch. I've experianced the same with two different seats, including a new one and the other original. I even tried it on our A-Industrial. Could my new springs be the problem, or do they all latch hard?

David, If the seat is square to the springs, the latches usually work fine, but if the springs get out of kilter, the latch will catch on one side or the other making it hard to either snap into place or release properly. The best way is to lower the seat slowly and see which side has the interference, and loosen the spring bolts and tweak to fit. a little lubricant on the latch assembly also helps. If you dont like to use grease, parafin works fine.

The seats can get a twist in them usually from the springs so they dont line up at the front. Are the springs in the same holes on each side.
