I got a International, model 254,and its building some fuel in oil.I changed the oil today to make sure I wasn't dreaming, but after running about10 minutes, sure enough it started coming up on the stick, after cutting off,and watching. The injection unit has the unit, which runs on the small cam,and runs smooth on all cylinders, when running. The plunger seals I noticed are leakiing around where they go in the pump, could the "O"ring and seal on these delivery valves cause this,or do I need to get the pump rebuilt???

Learned this one the hard way.

It is most likely the fuel pump, if it is a mechanical type with diaphram, as Lee says,

OR

It is the front seal on the injector pump.

Try the fuel pump first. It's lots cheaper.

Sorry fellars,it doesn't have a primary pump,or a front seal (like a Rooster master),its like a Yanmar,unbolts with 4 bolts,and the engine lubs the cam shaft,on the pump rollers.

Listen, thanks, for all your comments. The pump, had bad seals in it.I popped the pump cartage out,and the desiel, was going down by the rollers ,which look simular to the Detroit Diesel, cam rollers, and going into the engine oil.Very simple to remove, and replace. Thanks, for the help, would be easy on Yanmars, and others with this system!!

If it has a diaphram type fuel pump feeding the injection pump I'd check thh diaphram pump for leak into the engine crank case.
