I installed a loader on a 354 IH tractor. I connected line from hydralic pump to the inlet side of the control valve body and then from the outlet side, I tied into the same line which continues to the tractor hydralics that controll the 3 point hitch. This seemed to make sence to me and the loader worked. Once. Then the pressure inside the control valve split (cracked)the vavle where one of the other lines had been threaded into the valve body. Can anybody understand this discription and then let me know if it sounds like I did something wrong in my plumbing that caused this to happen. THANKS!

Is it possible that the loader valve has no relief built in? Without relief you can break fittings , hoses and even the pump itself.

I have a 354 with a loader on it and it is plumbed into the main pressure line behind the pump, the return is plumbed into the front of the hydraulic reservior under the seat.It works great, check and see if the valves you got with the loader are closed or open center, you need open center, JD uses closed center valves.
