The light switches on my BN and Cub smoke - the Cub when connected, and the BN on Low. Is there a way to open these up to repair them, or can you recommend a good replacement? Thanks.

There are 3 recessed screws on the back that allow you to take them apart. Thye are pretty basic. More than likely there is a problem with the wiring somewhere. Is the smoke coming from the wire resister on the back? Is there a possibility you may have put bulbs in the lights that require more current than the originals?

BN switch: the resistor smokes on low. Otherwise the switch is fine.

Cub: The switch itself smokes when the fuse is connected. I'm drawing 2 amps with the switch off (the lights also come on); 2.6 A with the switch on low. I think there may be some corrosion inside that's causing a resistive bridge. Disconnecting the lights drops the current to 0. They are 6 volt lights on a 6 volt system.
