I have a loader on an IH 350 with big single action cylinders. Simply raising the loader all the way will completely drain the oil reservor for the hydraulics - will I damage anything by over filling the reservor (like all the way to the fill hole)?

I wonder if these cylinders could be converted to double-acting. That way you'd never run out of fluid, since all the fluid you put into one side of the cylinders would be replaced by fluid being forced out the other side.

Be prepared for a oily mess when you lower the loader- the oil will come out the breather cap on the hyd. reservior. Some guys plumb in a extra cap tank(via the drain plug) or add a larger supply line to the hydrualic pump..

You can fill the hyd tank with the loader down all the way to the the fill hole without problems.
