Hope you guys can help me. I bought what I believe is a Farmall Super A. But now that I'm looking at other tractors, I"m noticing several differences between my tractor and other Super A's. First, mine has a foot accelerator. It also has a square front axle, a larger steering box with a brace from the steering box to the bell housing. It also has larger rear rims. It also has a 123 engine and the serial tag states operating speed 1540 RPM. So what is it? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Kelly: Only the serial tag will prove whether this tractor is Super AI or Super A1I All Super A1 fall between serial number 356001 and 357958. Serial number plate for Super AI will be on left seat mount whereas Super A1I it will be on left of bell housing.

What you have is a "International Super A-1" a rare tractor. There were only 1672 Super A-1 made and only in 1954. This number includes all Farmall Super A-1. Farmall Super AV-1, and International Super A-1's.

The tractor has a professional auto body custom paint job in IH red but apparently it was originally yellow. The tractor runs great, has excellent oil pressure, and its all complete with the correct seat, tool box, etc. What would something like this be worth?

If it has a 123 with a water pump it is probably a Super A-1. The decal will just say Super A. The square front axle and foot accelerator mean it is the industrial version. The side decal should say International, not Farmall. It also could be a Super A with a replacement engine. Whether or not the serial number prefix says IAA or IAA-1 will identify the tractor.

Thanks. So I don't have a Farmall Super A, I have a International Super A?

Yes, the decal should say International. Most were yellow, but red is also considered correct.
