This is for next time you do this. After you get the nuts off the bolts, Screw a nut halfway on the end of the bolt. Then screw another bolt into the nut. Now you can use a heavy sledge on the head of the bolt you screwed into the nut and the threads of the bolt won't be damaged. I've used this method several times on rusted in bolts and it never failed me.

I've got the tires off,I think I'll pull the wheel centers off the axle to make it easier to get at. Thanks,I don't feel so bad since there are others that have the same problem.

I had to pull a weight off of my C when Igot it.

The weights had never been removed..or so Ive been told.

I got a 2.5 foot long adjustable wrench on the nuts. Wrapped a chain around the end of the wrench, then the other end of the chain to my WheelHorse tractor. Got on, and popped the clutch in 2nd...broke em all lose that way, never used any lubricant! It was that shock load that they needed, just to break them free.

I had hammered on them and everything...no luck until the WH did its thing.

On these the bolt head is recessed in the weight and you can't get at it. The nuts are already off and I molested the ends with a hammer. I can't decide whethewr to torch the heads in the recess or blow out the bolt shaft from indside the wheel. I'll get to it in a day or so.

Mine were in pretty bad shape also, was able to get the nuts and washers off and drive them out with a brass punch. This did require about a week of soaking with PB-Blaster,and a lot of patience.

Take your torch and heat the area around the bolt, then use a long punch and drive them out. It will take a bit of doing, and you may need to stop and reheat, but it can be done.

Been there, done that.
