Off-Season---- I know its a bit late to be talkin about pushing snow, but i have some qeustions to ask to get ready for next winter. We want to put a blade on our A. How many of you have blades on these smaller tractors? How do they push snow, alot of it or a little. Do you need chains on the back tires? And how big of a blade up front? The tractor mechanic in town was moving dirt with his a the other day, hes got a 6 ft blade on the front, seems to do a good job. Most of our snow here in SW Ont, blows into our driveway, 2 to 3 feet high in some spots, 4 at the most. The mechanic made his own setup out of scrap metal, Not very hard to make. Any input is great.

Farmallkid, Your question is definitely OS, so is the picture of my A with snowplow. I fabricated the two frames under the tractor. First frame is between the rear housings, second frame pins to the first frame and also bolts to the front cultivator mount on the steering box. I homebrewd a lifting mechanism as you can see. You need weight on the drawbar, and chains, and you will push alot of snow!

How much weight do you have on the back? How do you attach the weight? And can you get a pic of under the tractor? Thanks.

Farmallkid, I have about 500 lbs of weight on the drawbar. I can give you more pictures but it wont happen for about two weeks because Im going on vacation tonight. I left my e-mail address for you and you can e-mail me and remind me if you want in about two weeks! Maybe I can give you some good ideas.
