Hey, I asked before, but didnt get a response...

So here goes.

On a 1949 C, I want to mow my Acre with it when I get it running. Ill probably get a 60 or so inch rear mount finishing mower, if thats possible on a C with just a drawbar...or may go with a belly mount? Anyways, the bar tires on it now will very quickly destroy my yard, and the front tri-ribs will make nice ruts. So where can I find some rear turf tires, or bar tires worn bare? Also are front tires available that have no ribs, just some tread? Like fltat in the middle and a diamond pattern on the edges?

It wont see much if any garden work. I may cultivate the little 1/3 acre at some point, but not soon.

I know, Ive got way too much tractor for my needs, but it was given to me as an FFA project...and Im not EVEN going ot sell it...and I hate to let it sit...

Heck it doesnt even run yet, but when it does, I want ot be able to use it.

I'm using a 484 for exactly the same thing here in the UK to keep 5 acres looking good.

The original front tyres (3 ribs) tore the grass up on the turns so I changed them for impliment tyres, twice as wide as the originals and work great. Paid about $240.00 for 2 new wheels/tyres.

Rears are new turf tyres (Titan), a bit wided than the originals and are OK - original tyres where worn pretty much flat so they didn't mark the turf much anyway..... just wanted something that looked a bit better!! Paid about $680 for new wheels and tyres.

Try Galaxy tire. They have alot of golf course/tender turf tires. They also have an ag line. They mfg all sorts of oddball tire applications.

Your local tire dealer should be able to get them. There are several brands avail. The fronts are not too much of a problem but there are also implement type treads for the front. You can use the six foot rear mower easy just make a hitch and pull it as they have 4casters to support the mower. Then to unhook just pull pin and driveshaft and tractor is free. Some do the same with a B. There is no need for threepoint.

Doh, messed up the links to the pictures. I guess you're looking for something like these.

The rears are Titan TorcTrac and the fronts are Mitas Implement..... ..no marking even with power steering and pretty tight turns
