While loading dirt with front bucket, something snapped in the steering box. I can not turn right with out lifting the tire and turning it by hand. What will I find when I pull the box? Whats the best fix? Parts are hard to find in backwoods Montana.

Thanks tractor vet. I'm already on first name basis at the local macine shop. I have not been able to rip into the steering box yet. My other job has monopolized all my time (out of town). I wlll see if they can weld on a gear.

Thanks again!

Ya done went and snaped a toothe off the one side and yeas if it is a power unit then they are real hard to find , Now i have machined out a squair spot and had a machine shop make a new toothe and weld it in and it has worked . But them old steering boxs just can't handel the extra weight of the loader with a big load. Just remember that it is not a 955 Cat.
