hello and thanks for any respnse...have 340 utility ..got the shop . parts and operator manuals and still can't figure this out.....am restoring this tractor and had to fix the steering assembly...so off came the plate on the top of the trans in front of the seat, not under it. wanted to drain and clean up everything.looked in manual....pulled plugs all the oil didn't drain. there was an extra plug under the direction reverser.okay...so the one compartment just in front of the trans case would not drain ..I had to suck the oil out...is this right..hope it gets back in there when I fill her up. I also took off the "seasonal disconnect" cover to drain that mystery compartment...that didn't do it ...what is the "seasonal disconnect" anyway....looks like it's the shaft to the pto...why is there still oil in the loader frame.I drained all the hi trans..including the rear end and there are no connections to the loader frame from the loader hydraulics...can't figure that one out either. some day I'll learn about all these things but I'd like to put the cover back on and donn't want to hve to remove it again cuz I didn't do something now while it's open ....thanks for the help..ken
