I have a farmall M and you know the four bolts that hold the hub on the axel? The head broke off on one of them, and I need to replace it. Does anyone know where I could find a bolt that would fit. Would a hardware store sell one that would fit.

the m wheel takes 3/4" bolts at the hub and the 400 wheel takes 7/8" bolts.

If you have Fastenal store near you (1300 stores nationwide) they will have bolt. Out of curiosity looked up 7/8 14 x 4 inch grade 8 bolt on their web site and they list them in package of 15 for $43. The people at my local store are super nice and usually will sell less than full package.

they are a rugular 3/4 bolt won't find one with a 1inch head though you have too heat the crap out of the hub where the shoulder of the bolt goes through as well as the clamp with the threads good luck JYD

the book calls for 7/8 X 4 so no, I doubt just any hardware will have them. If you do not have a tractor dealership handy try a heavy euqipment dealer
