Where do I get Red Primer

I am getting ready to paint my BN, and I want to avoid a problem I have had with other tractors. On my little beloved Ford 2N, which is grey, I primed it with a real light grey....now everytime it chips, I see the light grey primer. So I'm hoping I can locate some IH red primer, or something pretty close.....the dealer didn't have any.

Thanks in advance
Take Care
Steve

I don't mind grey primer, because it lets me see the places I miss with the topcoat. Epoxy primer is the best to use. On the tin it should be followed with a sandable surfacer for a smooth finish.

Steve:

Go to the Cub Manual Link below, then click on Paint, Decals and Other Finish ?'s, then the Paint Chart.

You will see Napa, Dupont, SW cross reference numberes. Go to your local autoparts store and have them mix you up some red primer....

They should be able to do that

I solved that problem years ago by not using primer. IH didn't use primer either

I have always been able to get the primer from my Case-IH dealer.

I just bought some spray cans of red primer from my local Case IH dealer. The number for spray cans is 1131655N. Red Oxide Primer... Cost one arm & one leg.
