I was told F-30 hubs could be used to put on my GB splined axles. I needed to set it up for 9-bolt wheels. Were there different kinds of hubs on an F-30? I've been looking at pictures but can't tell. Thanks guys!

the F30 hub takes a 6 bolt wheel. I have extra hubs and could measure them and take pictures.

That would be great if you could. Feel free to e-mail me. A fella told me to weld up the 6-bolt and put the 9-bolt pattern in it. I'm also looking at putting H spoked wheels on my Twin-City J, but someone said there were two different types of H spoked wheels and one is lighter. Any idea on that Mr. Cowman? Thanks for your help!

I can answer your question on the spoked wheels, yes, there were two different styles, the heavy wheels used the same type of hub as was used on the more common cast center wheels, just like every H up and down the road uses. The lighter wheels are more or less clamped to the axle, using 4 bolts, and also have a jack screw in them to aid in loosening the wheel from the axle.

I think the clamped lighter type would be suitable for my 1936 Twin-City JTU with 2.5" axles. I always liked the looks of the Farmall spokes. My JTU is for pulling so it is far from original, but I wanted a light spoke wheel that would really give it an old fashioned look. Maybe it's a crime but it will have Case fenders too. Thanks for the info, now I know what to look for. The clamp type was originally steel wheels I assume. Thanks!
