Hugh:

I have seen in a few posts that you are from or have family in the Middle Musquodoboit Valley. Here is a dumb question -- "geez I feel like the guy in Europe who says - Hey your are from Canada, do you know my cousin Ahmed in Vancouver?"

By any chance do you know John and Mary Cook? Kind of curious.

Rudi: Yes, I know John and Mary very well. John's health has failed considerably in the past few years, but Mary is as sharp as ever. And that is as sharp as her mother.

Mary's mother was once feeding a threashing crew, about a dozen men. Harold, Mary's father was a bit late sitting in to his meal, thus behind most in his meal progress. One of the guys decided to eat Harold's pie. When Harold reached the pie part of his meal he said to Laura, "Is there not pie for me?" Laura's responce, " There was one Harold, but Stanley Stewart ate it." She nailed the culprit, took a smart person to get something by Laura. Daughter is just as sharp.

Drop me an e mail.

Hugh:

Will drop you an email.

Just a quick note though. I now know where Laura gets her name from - Grandma! Oh, Laura who is John and Mary's eldest is married to my twin brother Randy and they now live out in Edmonton.

Couldn't resist asking when I read about MMV. Was down for John and Mary's 50th, been by a number of times, but I have to go visit for a bit. Maybe in a few weeks or so..

Have interesting stories!
