Hi, Just read your post about the '36? IHC truck. The owner has not yet given it up, so I don't want to poke around it too much. If he does, then I will be able to pull / lift it out of the mud and examine it more closely. It has become burried to the hubs in soil, but there is no water or rust in the pan or on dipstick. I can't tell exactly what year it is, but it has a grill that resembles a photo of a '34 and is unlike that of a '37 I saw in the truck photos section. I don't know if it is a "D" model. All I can tell is it is a small duel... perhaps a 1 ton, but not larger than 2.

I'll share more if I can talk him out of it.

The D model came out in '37 and was quite a departure from the preceeding C models which looked similar to the earlier A models. The earlier truck was first produced in 1929. It was followed by the C in 1934.

Don't know what you mean by "The owner has not yet given it up". Is that another way of saying "he hasn't bought the farm'?

If this is something you want you should start negotiations. At the very least you should leave your name and phone #.
