I have a farmall model a with a problem. It can best be described as "surging". It will start and run just fine, but under a load the rpm's will surge up and down and you can't catch up to it with the throttle. I have rebuilt the zenith carb to no avail. I don't know where to go next. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Had similer problem on my 100. Had a piece of trash in fuel bowl that blocked the flow. Check for a restriction in the fuel system.

Typical symptom of governor needing adjustment. The owners manual gives a concise description, it is a 10 minute job.
Good luck,
Bill

I'm not sure if it's called being out of time, but get ahold of an Owners manual, and in there is describes for you how to adjust the governor setscrew to get rid of the surging.
