I have been looking for a tractor of this size. By coincidence a coworker has a 706 for sale for $3900, will take $3400. Reason he is selling is he wants a wide front so he can use his round baler. The tractor runs well and has no shifting issues and the TA is good. Is there any thing i should be wary about and is a narrow front some thing to stay away from. I plan on using for a small hobby farm, with a chicken egg barn. Please advise as i think this might be a good deal. I will be using a 3 pt rear moubnted snow blower on it if I buy it

Hey Dave, That sounds like a pretty good deal. I have one that I paid less for but its a diesel. And it is HARD to start it in the winter. I don't use it much then I get the old M out and she does the job. But when ever you look for any tractor take the shape of the tin work and fenders into consideration. It can be costly also if you ever want to paint it up. Good luck to you.

Good tractor, good engine for cold weather. If you decide you don't like the narrow front, you can swap in a wide front. It's easy to change front ends, but a good one can cost $800-$1000.
