Hey Les,

Does the "H" on the side of the casket mean he's going to the hot place?? (grin)

If I put "SC" on mine... maybe that would stand for "Silver Cloud" (just kidding)

I suppose it is safe to say that
a deceased John Deere guy "wouldn't
be cought dead" in such a box.

Considering all the product lines
that IH had, it is a wonder that they
never marketed coffins. Just think of all the dead farmers who would be proud to be buried
in a shiny new red coffin. The funeral
director could even spray the fabric with IH branded "new tractor smell" from an aerosol can.
It does sound heavenly.

That's real nice but I don't plan on taking my body with me when I leave this earth. I have left instruction for my remains to be cremated and the ashes throwed out in the pasture.

I was thinking of doing something similar. I am going to have the metal recycler bring over a hammar mill and then have him spread the metal frags over the front lawn. This will give my great grandkids lots of little
tokens to remember me by.

If that's what the person wanted, then it's fine; now if he was buried with his tractor, perhaps that's a little much.

CNKS, The old addage, "You cant't take it with you", in some cased needs to be rewritten to say, "You mustn't take it with you", should a person request to be burried with his tractor. There are, however a few tractors that would be best served if they were burried somewhere. I gotta give kudos to the guy who would choose to be burried in a Model "H" casket in 2150 red oak.

We all are a little obsessed with our tractors but that person went over the edge.

Cass Kitt; A LITTLE GAUDY FOR MOST HUMBLE FARMERS I SHOULD THINK. MAYBE A CREMATION WITH A CUSTOM URN OR MARBLE BOX. OR MAYBE A BASIC URN WITH A KEY TAUB WITH THE TRACTOR SYMBOL OF CHOICE.
IN KEEPING WITH HUMBLE BEGINNINGS. THE BIG GUY IS GONNA MAKE THE IMPORTANT DECISION THE WAY I READ IT.
