M cultivators question

hello all. a friend of mine has a farmall H. his dad has a farmall M. they picked up a set of cultivators that were on a H. they need to know what they need to do to put them on the M. he says the hydraulics are slightly different and needs to know what he needs to do to make them work properly. thanks, greg

Depends on the cultivators. The ones we had on our H could be put on an M by swapping the front mounting plates from the left to the right side.

hi John. he says that they will bolt right on but his question is about the hydraulics. he says they are a different arrangement between the 2 tractors. he says that on his H i believe he has power up and gravity down but on the M he says they have a different valve. almost like a 2 way log splitter for 2 way cylinder. he says there are 2 cylinders on the cultivators and he's afraid that if he raises them they won't come down. greg

Then you just hook one hose up to the hyd. coupler. If you have one remote then you would have to put a T in the line then have one hose run to the remote. To lower it just runs back on it's own. Like when a hydroswing haybine is hooked up hyd wise. One hose for lift in one remote. Both hoses hooked in the second remote for swinging. Hope it's not confusing.
