Does anyone know where I could get the 540-3600 RPM gearbox for the trailer mounted unit? Brian

I also have a trailer mounted unit but I have not been able to come up with any production numbers or serial number sequence.

Electrall units were made from 1953-56 so they were probably put on SMTA,300&400 and 400-450 tractors. Only about 100 made total. 3 models, mounted on the right side and driven from PTO gear, trailer mounted, and fast hitch mounted.Hope this helps. Wish I had one!

Chuck is partially right. They first appeared on SMTAs during the summer of '54.

However, I think Chuck is wrong about side mounted Electrall on H derived tractors such as the 300-350. The "attachment" section of a parts book for those tractors would prove or disprove that claim. I don't think that the gearbox, which derived its power from the IPTO driving gear, will interchange between the 300 and 400.

Both my 460 and 560 parts books have the trailer Electrall listed.

I have four pictures posted to "Tractor Photos" on this site. Click on that link at the left of this page and enter "Wardner" in the search box. One of those pictures will show the special gearbox that attached ahead of the belt pulley gearbox.

I found my Electrall by posting an inquiry here at YT. Someone who lives 100 miles from me gave me the lead and I purchased the whole tractor plus Electrall the same week.

Now that you mention it ,I think you are probably correct about the 300&350 tractors not using the mounted unit. I don't have a parts book here to check.
