My M will start but I have to work the choke to keep it running. Rebuilt the carb and adjusted still the same. Could it be my float, needle valve. Any help would be great.

you might want to unscrew the fuel bowl out of the gas tank and make sure the stem is not plugged up. I has this happen once, there was a plug of mud in the stem that sticks up in the tank.

Make sure that the float is not rubbing/hanging-up on the side of the carb, there is not a lot of room for the float in the fuel bowl on an M, and quite frequently they will give trouble. Very gently bend and tweak the float until it fits, and then check the float level.

Did you check the float height?I think on most IH carbs it should be level when you invert the body.Make sure that you blow out all the passages in the carb,it doesn't take but a tiny little piece of dirt to clog them.

..... .also make sure you have a strong flow thru the carb. Take the set screw out of the bottom of the carb, and let it run for about a minute. If it stops, this is a good indicator you have a flow restriction from the fuel tank.
