Does anyone know the gpm and pressure rating of a Char-lyn pump that was used on SMTA's? Also would a Char-lyn system for a 400 or 450 work on a SMTA? And last, if a priority valve was used in the pressure line from the live SMTA hyd. pump, would the ps motor from a Char-lyn system work ok if hooked up properly? Thanks.

There are two different Char-Lynn Torque Generators. Model S-101-F and Model S-102-F

Rated operating pressure is the same for both units at 1000 PSI.

Recommended Fluid input for the S-101-F is 2.5 to 3 GPM. For the S-102-F it is 3 to 4 GPM

I do not have any spec's for the pump.

I do have a SH with the Torque Generator connected to the live hyd system and it works great.

Hope this helps some.

How can you tell which Char-Lynn Torque Generator model you have? Will the model number be stamped on the housing somewhere? If so, where? Thanks, RB

Not sure of the gpm or pressure but I would think the system from the 400 450 whould work, the SMTA did not have PS from the factory so it would be add on. If you use a priority valve on the pressure side of the live pump it will operate the ps ok. There was a plumbing diagram posted here a while back, check archives.
