I having problems figuring out why my tractor is stalling/dying after running/working for a few minutes. Seems to load up, tried adjusting carb. After setting a minute or two it will run fine, then load up again. New to tractors and dont know all the levers. Any and all help will be appreciated folks.
thanks Charles

A plugged gas tank vent can also cause a similar problem.

Charles, you can test the coil very easily. Run the tractor until it stalls on you, then pour cold water over the coil. if it starts right back up you know it is the coil..good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario

both jeff and paul said the same as i would have, but i tried that on my cub with a no go. tried condensor text and that was the charm. just something else to look at if the new coil wont fix it.

I think you have a bad coil. It's happened to me before, once you replace the coil i'll bet that the problem will be gone ---Jeff

Sounds a lot like a weak or bad coil to me. They will get hot after a short time and cause you to stall. After the tractor sits for a while it will often restart if it's the coil and the whole process begins all over again.
