Any suggestions to eliminating the rust in the "H" gas tank that keeps blocking flow.

I had to resort to using muriatic acid in the tank of my M, it cleaned it up to the point that I did not need to use any type of liner. Also, install a short riser pipe into the inlet of the sediment bowl assembly, about 3/4 - 1 inch or so, and then put a fine mesh stainless screen on top of the riser pipe, this will allow only clean gas to enter the bowl, and the crud can settle to the bottom, where it won't bother anything. Rinse the tank several times with water after using the acid, and allow to dry for a day or two before using it.

Once you clean the tank, you'll need to seal it. I highly recommend using a sealer on it to stopo further rusting and sealing any leaks developed by cleaning. Lee W. Pedersen sells such a product. I used it on my NAA tank, and it worked great! You can find it on his web page, go to: Link

Get a bottle of "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner, dump it in, fill it half full of water and let it sit. it will eat the rust off the inside, and removes the flaky rust from the sides of the tank. I rince it out with diesel fuel and let it sit for a day or 2. Just depends on how bad it is. Chad
