About what should the oil pressure run at? What is too low or too high.

Zero is too little. 5-10 psi at idle and 20-30 at WOT should be enough if you are not working the tractor. Anything over 75 psi and your pressure relief valve is not working or something is plugged up.

My H runs at half (the needle lines up with the "i" in oil) at idle and is 1/8" from the end at full throttle. My SC (which I don't believe has ever been rebuilt) idles about 1/4" off the peg and runs at just under half.

An operator's or service manual will have specs for oil pressure.

Usually mains and rods wear together. Next likely suspect is the oil pump. All of these can be accessed by removing the oil pan. IH made +0.002 and (I think ) +0.003 oversize bearings so you may not have to regrind the crank.

Thanks. Pressure starts off good then falls after about 30 minutes. If it were the pump it would not be good anytime. Is that correct? Thanks

Not necessarily, once the oil warms up and thins out, it looks for any gap to leak from. It could be increased clearance on the bearings, wear on the oil pump end plate, or a leaky pump shim. Usually it is the simple stuff that goes wrong.

You will have to take it apart to fix it. When you do, check the journals with plastigage before you remove the old bearings. That way you will know what shape they are in. If they are at more than 0.004", you'll have a good idea where to start. While you have the pan down, it would not hurt to look at the oil pump.
