I just bought a 91 ford 250, and when I was checking out the engine, I noticed that the badge on the side of the motor said International 7.3L engine. I thought that was interesting, so I looked at my dads and co-workers 01 and 04 ford 250s and they're International diesels too, 6.0L and 7.3L Powerstroke. They even have the two triangle symbol. How long has Ford used International diesels? Thanks

We have a F350 Super Duty with a 7.3. Runs awseome. We really enjoy telling the JD salesman that comes around that his truck is powered by IH.

I gots me one of dem Power strokes, only reason i boguht it was because it had an IH engine.I asked the sales lady who built the engine, she sadi International.if she had said`anything else,Id walked away from it.I drove a new one with the 6.0 in it when I looked at mine, alot quieter, but didnt have the power the 7.3 did.Miles was low so on the 7,3 so I boguth it,and it was a 350,not a 250.And yes,it will lay 20 ft black marks, amazing truck.

ford started using those engines in I think 1984 maybee 83. in late 1994 the were direct injected called powerstroke. in 03 the 6.0 came some people have had no trouble, some have had all trouble. however have you ever seen a dually pickup lay black marks 20 foot long? the 6.0 doesn't even know when you pull a trailor.
