I was looking online and found that IH made a TD24. What was the HP of this beast? How many bottom plow could you Pull? How big of Disk or Field cultivator? Just wondering if anyone knows about these...
Thanks

Hi, had a neighbor that ran a construction company that had a TD24 but he only used it about 2 years and traded it for 2 smaller TD??.
He said TD24 was great on a road building project but was to difficult to move from job site to site.

TD-24, Nebraska test# 477, 6/29 - 7/18, 1950, 142.11 db hp, corrected db hp 148.43, max pounds pull 33,714 @ 1.54 mph. No belt hp or pto hp tests were made made. This was the early TD-24 with the 1090.6 cu in engine. Later models had a different engine, I believe it was a 817 turbo, and were slightly more powerful. 33,714 pounds pull is pretty good at any rate. The Caterpillar D-8, which was Cat's largest at the time was Nebraska test# 415, 7/11 - 7/19/1949, 123.89 db hp, corrected db hp 131.20, max pounds pull 28,664 @ 1.62 mph, just as a comparison.
