I can't find the drain plug at the rear diff of my 364. I posted this some time ago and was told it is in the very rear near the PTO shaft but I don't see it. Can someone tell me again where to look exactly? I find 2 drain plugs under the shifter area but I sure need to find the one that drains the rear diff. Sorry, I searched for my previous post but couldn't find it.

Check directly under the PTO shaft towards the bottom.

Thanks Jay, I'll look this weekend when I get to the tractor - it's 2 hours away. Is the plug parallel with the ground or perpendicular? I must have looked right at it last time but need to look harder. Is it just above the drawbar but under PTO shaft?

My 364 is the same as the 354 with a little bigger engine. What does your chart show for the 354? Thanks for your help Jay?

I would say yes, but I'm not positive. I have lube charts for most tractors, but yours isn't in my book. I have the chart for a 354 and the 464. Yours should be somewhere between them. It probably won't be underneath, but in the back, in a straight line with the PTO and perpendicular to the ground. You should probably be looking for either a plug that takes about a 3/4 inch square shaft or a plug with a square shaft sticking out, taking about a 3/4 wrench.

These are only educated guesses.

Thanks Jay, I found the drain plug at the rear of my 364. Drained out just over 6 gallons and it looked fine but I wanted to be sure. Do I simply fill it through the plug up top right by the gearshifters? I mean, filling it here will fill the trans and diff or is there more than one place to fill to be sure it gets everywhere inside? I just want to be sure and not let something run dry. Thanks.

I don't know anything about your tractor but transmissions and differential usually share the same cavity or case. Any plug located on the bottom of the last three feet of the tractor should drain everything but the motor and radiator. Not sure about the PTO on your model.

You really need an operator's manual.
