you can overhaul a 1466 for about half of what it would cost to overhaul a 1456. the 400 series engine in the '66s are a lot easier to work on.

I thought it was the other way around. The 1456 is just a 1256 with the heavier rear end and a few more horsepower.

In the 66 series, the 1566 is the tractor with the heavy-duty 3-speed rear end. The 1466 still has the 4-speed transmission, as far as I know.

1456 and 1466 have the same rear,806 to 1066 are all very close and the 15s are all together different with planetary drive.
