I posted the other day about the Super C running too rich... I think I have that taken care of. Replaced the plugs, it appears that two of my newer Champions plugs weren't firing right... it ran real good at idle, but not at full throttle. I also set the valve lash, retorqued the head and manifold... Now it smokes blue every now and then, then clears up.. Somebody thought last year I had a broken ring.... Any ideas????

Dave, Was this engine overhauled? Sometimes it takes a while for the rings to seat. If it has only seen light duty since the rebuild, I'd say as long as the blue smoke clears up, it's a ring or rings that haven't yet found the sweet spot.

Bob.. this machine has sat for the better part of 50 years.. Maybe only a couple hundred hours on it.. total.. That was why I thought maybe a broken ring. The original tires are just like new with just minor checking. I only put this back into service two years ago, and the toughest work it has seen is raking my driveway with the rock rake. It is a possibility that it isn't fully broken in...
