560 Fast Hitch Installation

Greetings,

Possibly considering purchase of a 560, but it doesn't have a Fast Hitch or 3-Pt. How hard would it be to install a Fast Hitch setup to be fully functional, assuming I could find one. I presume a salvage yard would be the best place to find the parts. How would I know what all parts should be included?

r4etired, in reply to a posting I made back in April, you posted you had a 560 fast hitch available. I didn't buy that tractor, but I have recently bought a different 560, also without FH. Is yours still available? If so, I'm interested in price and location details.

Hal, the FH on the 450 & 560 were the same. There have been some on eBay. JP Tractor Salvage and Steel Wheel Ranch should both have:

Thanks for the advice. I've found a couple other 560's with FH to look at before I decide on one.

I'll keep the sources in mind, though if I end with the one without.

Hitches are available all over the place. Expect to pay around $300. If you have no confidence in your salvage operator, get a parts book. You can have confidence in Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch. You will have to dedicate one hydraulic valve and invest about 2-3 hours to mount the hitch. I think that fast hitches will be as pricy as WFEs sometime in the future.
