Have just acquired a 1951 super C my new hobby since retiring, my tractor has row crop front end, while looking at photos came across a Super C with wide axle ??? does anyone know how many of each type of these were made or is there a site to go to that will tell me. I also have a 1956 Case VAO-15 which I have just restored.Spent most of my working life owning a wrecking yard and only did cars and trucks but have fallen in love with the old tractor restoration.Hope to show them at some shows this year. Information appreciated. "Chuckles"

1951 Super C; 1951 37,651 1952 31,130 1953 29,472 1954 13,753

As a Special Feature the farmer or business could order an adjustable wide-tread front axle.
I would say maybe 20% of the above tractor production hit the fields with the WFE.
You could check tractor salvage centers in your area for a WFE or put your request on the internet this site for parts wanted. If I get another tractor the Super C is high on my list.
Good luck.

Loosen up the fill plug enough so that you can wiggle it in the threads and let it release any pressure that may have built up inside the hydraulic unit. Otherwise it is possible to get a quick bath in hytran oil. Been there and done that. It would have been a Kodak moment for the look on my face. :>).

I accidentally posted this in the wrong place. It should be under CMore's posting. Sorry.

I am wanting to buy a super c and have found one, but myself and the seller haven't been able to agree on a price. Can you tell me what a good price for a 1952 super C in fairly good condition would be?

From $1500 (decent but needs tires & paint, no Fast Hitch) to $2500 (good paint, good tires, with Fast Hitch). At least around here.

I've seen asking prices as high as $3500 but don't know it they ever sold.

Good luck
Bill

Sight Unseen; Not the best way to put a figure on a rig, but, per your description somewhere in the neighborhood of 1770. You can offer a fair figure and see if the current owner makes a counter offer. Your in the drivers seat until they say no thanks.
