I just purchased a 1950 Farmall M with the Disc Brake option. I remember a thread about these a long while ago and don't remeber much about what was mentioned. Can anyone tell me what brand they were and if parts may still be available for it.

The Lamberts brakes were sold to IH directly and are in the IH parts system. Lambert was a vendor just like Delco-Remy and the tire mfgs. That doesn't necessarily mean that any of the parts are now available thru Case-IH. It also doesn't exclude the possibility that parts were available outside of IH. A search on Lambert will yield alot more info.

Lambert disc brakes were available after market for the disc conversions as well as IH's own. I have Lamberts on my '48 M and found out the hard way that the replacement discs are not interchangeable .

I just found out today that my 49 M has disk brakes too... anyone know or have any info on replacing/adjusting these? The service and owners manuals I have don't mention anything about them. Also, any ideas on where to get new pads would be greatly appreciated.
