Is touch control the only thing that separates a Super A from an A? I have a friend who is telling me that a Super A also has a water pump, and I am far from an expert but I have never seen one on this type of tractor. Does anyone know for sure?

The touch control, as well as the changes it required, such as the revised battery placement, mount for the pump in the block and the rear rockshaft etc. were the only major changes between the A and the Super A. IH continually revised parts during production so many parts are probably interchangable but have very slight differences. After the Super A they built the SA-1 which had an 1/8" bore increase as well as a 2" taller radiator which meant the grill is taller and all the other sheet metal higher by 2". The SA-1 also had a water pump and thermostat. The basic tractor then continued nearly unchanged except sheet metal through the 100, 130, and into the 140. However some Super A's had water pumps added later in life. Hope this helps, SAm in NS
