hey Hugh MacKay. good morning. this is a followup on a plowing question i asked about 2 weeks ago. used your advice and welded a new point on the plow for the super A. ground it to what i thought it should be. well you were right it really sunk in. made a couple adjustments the other way and man she is really plowing great. i tried to get a new one around with my local suppliers and no luck. might be nice to have a couple extras around. the numbers on it are #9 I-H 05547 soft center steelcast. would you have any direction to point me in to get replacements? thanks, greg

Greg: Usually you can only do that once or twice as the share part of your point will become worn as well. I suppose it would be realistic to build that up as well. I know a farmer with two plows, both plows have the same bottom. One is a 3 point 3x16 and the other plow a 7x16 semi mount. He rebuilds his point-shares always.

I don't know what to tell you on new plow parts. I think a lot depends on your area, on who is right up to date on plow wear parts. Around here TSC stores are good, but I understand that is not the case everywhere.
