Has anyone out there put a cummins enjine in a M? I HAVE a 3.9 that looks like it would fit the frame and tractor about like the old gasser. should make for plenty of tourque and run all day on very little fuel.

Never tried a cummins but I know a 345 IH V8takes all the room you have. Fitting a govenor alternator,power steering pump,and relocating the oil filter fills it up. I don't lengthen or widen the frame rails.If you take out the hand crank shaft you have less than 30 in from clutch housing to steering casting. anything can be done Good luck
