well this is of a different color but i'm gonna ask anyway. i have a 415 oliver trail mower and the pto shaft won't extend to the pto on the tractor. i'm assuming it's just stuck and i've been beating on it for a few days now. spray it down with wd40 once a day(about a week now). is it possible that it's not suppose to extend? please help! am gonna post on oliver page too but haven't had much luck in the past.

thanks

it's gotta extend somewhere! does it have carrier bearing and a telescoping shaft behind that or just a one piece drive?

the long shaft comes out of the gear box, up to a hanger bearing. after the bearing is the first u-joint, then to a second u-joint then to the tractor. it has to have a break between the two ujoints but i can't see it cause theres a pto shaft shield on it. if it were plastic i'd just cut it but it's metal!
