The hose that returns the hydrolic oil on my m is no good, i would guess it would be 15-25 years old. Where it hooks to the tractor it is leaking like crazy. my question is Does the engine oil run the hydrolics to? When i checked the oil a couple weeks ago it was above the top pitcock, when i started it today the hose started leaking, so i checked the oil and none came out the top check pitcock. i thought the hydrolics have a seperate resivore for oil. i will take the hose off and put a plug in.

No.

You will wreck the hyd pump if you do that.

There are belly & distributor hyd pumps; need more info to help you on what you have.

You need to get an operator's manuel and figure out what you got and what oil goes where.

the hydaulics uses it's own oil. Do you have "live" pump?
