Bob, The "open" decal is used when the tractor is equiped with radiator shutters. From the shutters, there is linkage which goes back to the steering post. Those tractors with belly pump had a bracket with 2 holes which accomodated the crank control for the shutters. Some models however had the control crank on the 4x4 plate below the lift control bracket. In either case, the "open" decal was placed to the left side or directly above the shutter control crank. If your tractor does not have shutters, there is no need to put the decal anywhere. Decal sets come with all decals, but not all are needed on all models. You only use what applies to your particular tractor. I'm sure you realize you dont apply one to your forehead. If you don't realize that, then maybe you do after all...Ha.

I agree. Near shutter crank terminus.

For owners of tractors without shutters, place decal on forehead.
