All it is, is a short piece of 3/8" NPT and a cap.
I like to use brass, but any short nipple and a cap, or just a pipe plug will work.

It's just a piece of pipe -- take it to a hardware store and get a new one.

haven't messed with it really... so does that pipe just screw out of the fitting on the radiator or what?

The pipe has a cap on it. On all I have ever tried to remove the pipe comes out with the cap. Put a pair of vice grips on it and carefully turn. I doubt if the piece it screws into will break, but anything is possible on 50+ year old metal. To be safe you might hold the pipe and try to remove the cap.
